Key to securing funding is a comprehensive professionally produced business plan. I will work with you to develop your plan, identify potential funding sources and manage the application process.
Development Audit
A development audit will help your organisation improve the overall effectiveness of its current efforts. By focusing on how the organisation may better use its present resources, I will ascertain the strengths and weaknesses and suggest cost-effective improvements to maximize its potential.
Your current donors are your organization's best asset and care must be taken in cultivating them for sustained support over the long term. I will approach your problems from a fresh perspective. The development audit is designed to correct ineffectual practices while suggesting proven approaches.
When conducting a development audit, I have three goals in mind for your organisation:
- to produce more income immediately
- to implement proven fundraising practices that will help produce long-term growth in income
- to share the most effective techniques with which to cultivate stronger relationships with current supporters
Upon completion of the audit, I will present your organisation with a proposed plan of action.
The audit helps determine whether your organization is meeting the standards of practice required to assure successful fundraising.
A Development Audit is recommended if the organization

- Would like to increase Board participation in its development programme
- Wants to establish a baseline by which to measure its development programme
- Wants an independent review of how to make the development programme more effective

- Is engaged in a strategic planning process

I will conduct on-site visit(s) to meet with the CEO, development staff, key volunteers and/or board members and, if appropriate, donors; to review systems, procedures and policies, identify potential trouble spots and discuss areas of possible improvement.
